Services at St. Augustine's

The Archbishops have issued guidance that public worship in churches should be suspended until further notice in the context of the coronavirus pandemic to try to delay and manage its spread.

Morning Service        9.30 am.  A service of Holy Communion is held every other week, with the children going to Sunday Classes part way through.  On Sundays which aren't Holy Communion a service of the word is held, again with the children going to Classes.  The first Sunday of each month is a family service where children stay in for the whole service.


Tuesday                   The Open Table 10 am till 2 pm  

Wednesday               Holy Communion  10.30 am



Prayer for Healing       Second Sunday at the 9.30am Service

Prayer Meeting           First Tuesday at 7.30 pm

Wheelchair Access, Large Print Books, Loop System all available 

Overhead projection of Mission Praise, Bible readings and Church Notices.

The worship style is informal based on Mission Praise mostly using a grand piano but can sometimes include African drums and a family choir!

There is Holy Communion at each Sunday morning service except on the first Sunday of the month when it is All Age Worship. 

The congregation is about 50 strong, growing and currently includes Christians from as far afield as Eritrea, The Democratic Republic of The Congo, Nigeria and New Zealand.  We have a strong community involvement through The Open Table and our Awesome children's events.  

 Asylum Seekers and Refugees very welcome. 

Tea and Coffee served after the Sunday Service.
